Heavy rains and thundersquall is likely to hit hard the north eastern states on Tuesday triggering the fear of a deteriorating flood situation in Assam.
According to the weather reports, the sky would be cloudy in the next 24 hours even after the premier city of Guwahati recorded a huge temperature.
Rains are expected mainly in Assam and Meghalaya which is likely to take place in some isolated places in the neighbouring states of Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura and Mizoram.
Weather men at the RMC on Tuesday talks of 33.3 degree Celsius in Guwahati which is less then the northern districts which stans at a maximum temperature of 34.5 degree Celsius.
