ABSU for end to varsity impasse
The All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) appeals all in the Bodoland University to remain peaceful inside and outside the university. The ongoing situation can be resolved by the Chancellor of the University as per the ordinances and statutes of the University.
Lawrence Islary,general secretary of the ABSU, in a press statement said the matter of the problem as known from the reliable source the issues regarding the crisis must be resolved legally and the administration must be allowed to function smoothly.
‘This is high time for the new session admission for the PG students at the University. Thereby it must be allowed to function for the future of the higher education development from the Bodoland University’,he said adding that such administrative issues hampering the smooth functioning of the University will hamper the academic environment in the higher education center.
The ABSU has appealled the Governor of Assam and the Chancellor of the Bodoland University to take up and resolve the crisis as soon as possible accordingly by law to held healthy educational environment.

Apurna Narzary, an international women's football player, has been nominated for the Emerging Player award for 2022-23 by the Sports & Youth Welfare department of the government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). Narzary has represented India in several international events and is the daughter of Biswajit Narzary of Khagrabari village in Kokrajhar district. The award will be presented to her during the Baokhungri festival celebration at Baokhungri Hill site near Harinaguri in Kokrajhar.
