Namrup Teachers Day celebrated in Namrup , 300 teachers feliciated by Namrup AASU and cultural rally taken by Namrup Public High School. Namrup, 5September :- Namrup also joined the nationwide celebration of Teachers’ Day to mark the birth anniversary of Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on Tuesday. Schools and colleges in the entire of Dibrugarh district wore a fresh look with students greeting the teachers, holding meetings and seminars to falicitate the teaching fraternity. Hundreds of students in Namrup hit the streets alleging police failure to nab the youth who misbehaved with a college girl a week ago. Organized by the Namrup local AASU, the protest got huge response on Monday where the participants shouted slogans against the failure of the authority. The students then submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner through the Naharkotiya circle officer raising the demand.
