PPFA endorses Thimphu’s stand against Beijing

Patriotic People’s Front Assam (PPFA) strongly endorses the stand of Bhutan government in Thimphu crying foul against the Chinese regime in Beijing for its illegitimate activities in Sikkim’s Doklam (also known as Donglang) locality. Bhutan’s Ambassador to India, Vetsop Namgyel has recently commented that the ongoing construction of a road in the disputed Doklam area (near Sikkim) was a clear ‘violation’ of an agreement between Bhutan and China. Thimphu has asked Beijing to stop the construction immediately near Bhutanese army camps.

"Doklam is a disputed territory and Bhutan has a written agreement with China that pending the final resolution of the boundary issue, peace and tranquility should be maintained in the area,” said Ambassador Namgyel.

Meanwhile, the Chinese administration has blocked the Indian pilgrims on way to Kailash-Mansarover of Tibet through Nathu La pass in Sikkim, which has been strongly condemned by the PPFA. In a statement, the patriotic forum argued that Communist China had recently made a number of irresponsible comments against India, which only shows it’s frustration as its neighbor started receiving global attentions.

The PPFA ridiculed China’s recent comments that India should take a lesson from 1962 war, rather it reminded the Beijing administration about their sudden retreat from the McMahon Line after declaring a midnight unilateral ceasefire on 21 November ’62 following USA’s nuclear threats.

The forum also urges the Union government in New Delhi to rethink its foreign policy towards Tibet and eventually support the Tibetan movement directly to chase away Communist China’s imperialist forces from the land of Dalai Lama.

“A free Tibet will be friendlier to India and it would bring a true sense of security to its grand Himalayan border. Moreover an independent Tibet will also help India to mitigate various environmental disasters looming large over the country,” added the PPFA statement.

It also asserted that the largest democracy in the globe has nothing to learn from a single party dictatorship like China’s Communist regime. Contrary to it, the infamous Tiananmen Square Massacre mastermind can learn the essence of freedom of expression, dignity to human rights and pluralism from the land of Buddha and Gandhi.

School girl dies in landslip

Monsoon misery refuses to die down in Assam where non stop landslide claimed yet another life in the capital city of Guwahati after weeklong incessant rains. The victim is a six-year-old girl on Monday morning in the Pankhaity area adjacent to the city as she was preparing to go to school. Emerge Diagnostic conducts GPC clinic

he city based Emerge Diagnostic under the leadership of Dr Dhrubajyoti Gogoi conducted the last OPD clinic at Guwahati Press Club (GPC) on Saturday.
