Vow against drugs in Kokrajhar

The International day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking was organized at Basic Training Centre in Kokrajhar. Hundreds of activists from different parts of the district,government officials, NGOs, senior citizens participated on the occasion.

The day was organized by district administration, Kokrajhar on Monday which has highlighted various issues on drug abuse and illicit trafficking incident that has been happening among human society in the region.Speakers and resource persons from different corners like NGO, law, health sector,social welfare department, senior government officials were participated on the occsaion. Bhaskar Das, Kokrajhar additional DC, Dr BC Medhi, senior health and medical officer from Kokrajhar RNB civil hospital,Kwrwmdao Wary, legal expert, Bishnu Narzary, KMB chairman were graced as speakers on the occasion.

Das said that the day has been observed by district administration to create awareness and social uplift among human society in the district. He said that some time human society is facing undesirable situation due to lack of information about drug abuse and illicit trafficking in the region.He has expressed his hopeful that this awareness programme will be benefitted for the society.
