Reiterating its movement for separate Bodoland state, activists of All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU), under the aegis of six regional committees viz. Dimakuchi, Khagrabari, Khoirabari, Bhergaon, Panery and Tangla supported by PJACBM and NDFB (P), took out a massive torch light rally throughout Tangla town on Wednesday evening. The activists shouting slogans 'No Bodoland No rest' 'Divide Assam 50-50' demanded early solution to the long-pending demand of creation of separate Bodoland and political rights for Bodos living outside the proposed Bodoland area. The activists supported carving out of Gorkhaland The rally was taken out from the bus stand throughout the town.Dipen Boro the vice president of ABSU inaugurated the rally. In his inaugural speech he said that the state and central government always been discriminatingthe Bodos from every aspect. He said that the demand of separate Bodoland is their legal demand and birth right. He demand immediate creation of separate Bodoland and Gorkhaland. More than one thousand of ABSU workers from various part of Bhergaon subdivision took part in the programme. The activists shouted various slogans Down with Central Government, We want Bodoland ,Divide Assam 50/50.Ratendra Daimary the district president of ABSU, M.Gerema Home home sec. NDFB(P) also took part in the programme.
