International Yoga Day celebrates in Kokrajhar

The International Yoga Day celebrates at various places in Kokrajhar district along with rest of the country on Wednesday.The district administration,Kokrajhar organized the day at Govt HS & MP School ground in association with Patanjali Yog Samiti, the Art of Living organised the Yoga in association with ABSU and UN Academy at UN Academy Hall in Kokrajhar. Huge participants took part on the occasion that created an integration  among all walks of life.

A rally was also carried out on the occasion in the early morning where citizen,students from different schools participated,which was started from Govt HS & MP school via JD Road,DC office Road,Shantinagar,fly over and concluded at the same point.Kampa Borgoyary,BTC deputy chief flagged off the rally.

Borgoyary said the international yoga day has been celebrated across the world that marked an integration among human beings.He said that the human being must join in the celebration to make healthy life as well free from diseases. 

A mass yogging session was organised on the day where huge participants from different parts of the district took part with enthusiastic moment. Bibekananda Choudhury, Kokrajhar deputy commissioner, Rajen Singh, SP, senior citizens apart from Ajit Brahma,retired ACS,officers from different offices are prominent participants.

Choudhury said that the day was celebrated with daylong proogramme scheduled in Kokrajhar.The day marked huge attendees from all walks of life from different corners.

At UN Academy in Kokrajhar, participants participated the day with traditional Aronai and Gamocha that showed a strong encouragement in the area.

 Cheeranjiv, an instructor from Art of living guided the yoga day where Krishna Gopal Basumatary, director of UN Academy, Moneswar Daimary, ABSU leader participated the yoga celebration.

 Cheeranjiv said that the day has been celebrated in an integrated manner to make awareness among citizens.

KOKRAJHAR: Citizens in Lower Assam districts including  Bodoland Territorial Council  have expressed happiness and gladness having found resumed of internet services today after eight days blockade. The internet service was found resumed at 9 am that saw smilling and happiness environment amongst the citizens in the region. Earlier, BTC region was made exempted from the disruption of net services from state government on December 10. However, all kinds of internet services were made disrupted all over the state on December 12 to keep the strong mass protest against the controversial citizenship (amendement) act.
KOKRAJHAR: Police arrested five protesters in Kokrajhar on Wednesday who burnt effigies of chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019. Activists and members from All Assam Nath Yogi Students Union carried out a protest demonstration along the JD Road near District Computer centre in Kokrajhar against the CAB bill and burnt effigies of Sonowal and Sarma. The protestors staged protest demonstration with shouting slogans demanding early withdrawal of the bill. The protestors violated CrPC 144 clamp in the district", said a senior police officer.
KOKRAJHAR: Along with rest of the state,the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Saptah was celebrated in Kokrajhar,heart of BTAD administration to mark the activities carried out amongst the society by anganawadi workers and supervisors of the integrated child development schemes(ICDS) under Social welfare department. KOKRAJHAR: Normal life was paralised  in four districts of Bodoland Territorial Area Districts (BTAD) region on Tuesday due to 11-hour north east bandh called to put protest against the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill which was tabled in Lok Sabha on Monday amidst strong oppossed from different corner. KOKRAJHAR: The ruling partner in the state alliance government, the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) has said that the their party is going to participate in the ensuing 2020 BTC general elections. Speaking the reporters at Kokrajhar Press Club on Sunday, AGP leader Subir Chakraborty told that his party was fully prepared to contest the council elections due in March-April 2020 under the alliance spirits of BJP-BPF-AGP in the state. KOKRAJHAR: Noted social activist, former leader of All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) and close associate of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma Yamao Jwhwlao Brahma passed away on Wednesday night at a private hospital in Guwahati.
