10th Biennial session of AAJU commences in Sonitpur

The 10th Biennial session of All Assam Journalist Union (AAJU) session has commenced at Pachim Gabharu in Sonitpur from June 17th.The seesion has been organized by AAJU Sonitpur district committee.The two days session was started with the hoisting of AAJU flag by Bholanath Nath,president of AAJU on June 17 at 9 am followed by homage paying ceremony led by Pankaj Nath,secretary,AAJU at 9.30 am.The central executive meeting was held at 1 pm followed by delegates session at 7 pm which was presided over by Bholanath Nath,president AAJU.Biren Bora,president,reception committee in his welcome speech thanked media personnel from various districts of Assam for attending the session.The open session will be held on June 18 which will be attended by several distinguished personalities of Assam.Delegates from various districts namely-Udalguri,Darrang,Nalbari,Barpeta,Bongaigaon,Sonitpur,Lakhimpur,Dhemaji,Dibrugarh, Tinsukia,Golaghat,Sibasagar,Morigaon,Kamrup,Baksa etc participated.

Udalguri police,Army and SSB apprehended two hardcore NDFB (S) cadre on Thuesday, namely -Jyotish Daimari (34),son of Hebol Daimari of village Badagaon, Udalguri and Bokul Ramchiari,son of Pina Ram Ramchiari of village Boguliguri of Baksa district near Rowta.Two pistols and six rounds of live ammunitions were also recovered from their possession.
