APSC: Akhil demands CBI probe

Amid the ongoing probe into the APSC bribery scam, KMSS leader Akhil Gogoi demands a thorough probe by CBI alleging that a section of candidates recommended by political leaders and journalists has yet to come under it's ambit.

Gogoi, who broke the allegations for the first time three years back told reporters that many candidates who managed to be selected  and recruited this way have not been summoned.

“Barring former minister Nilomoni Sen Deka’s son, others have not been summoned to be questioned on Friday. We earlier alleged that Sumitra Patir’s son was involved in it. But since she joined BJP her son is let off,” said Gogoi.

He said,” the entire investigation is being micro managed by a powerful cabinet minister and since he is not in good terms with Union minister Rajen Gohain, therefore his relative has been asked to be questioned. Then why MP Ram Prasad Sarma’s daughter was not invited? This is because of a simmering conflict between two camps.”
