The All Bodo Students Union(ABSU) expresses serious concern over poor result shown in HS and HSLC final examinations by government run schools in the state. The private managed schools have plying colours than government schools. On the other hnad,the ABSU accorded warm welcomed and felicitated first division along distinction and star marks in Bodo medium in Kokrajhar district.
A total 11 students,who stooded in first division along with distinction and star mark in recent declared HSLC examination from Bodo medium,were accorded warm welcomed and felicitations on the occasion organised by Kokrajhar district unit ABSU being held at Titaguri Irakdaw community hall in Kokrajhar on Tuesday. Each of student was felicitated with traditional Aronai and gift items on the occasion.
Bibekananda Choudhury,Deputy Commissioner,Kokrajhar graced as chief guest on the occasion and felicitated the students in the presence guardian and students.Choudhury urged the students community to be dedicated while taking higher studies in their career building. ‘Quality education among society must bring to gain healthy social environment as well uplift of human living’,Choudhury said.
Romeo Narzray,vice president of ABSU attending the programme said that the students union was working for quality education among society isnce 2007 and this year saw better result in Bodo medium. He said that government run schools are showing poor results in the final examinations HSLC and HS across the state where private managed schools have plying colours in the education. He has urged the government to take bold step while bringing healthy gain of better results than private managed schools.The students union extended warm welcomed and felicitated the first division holders from Bodo medium,he added.
Among others,Ranjit Kumar Borgoyary,former president of Tribal Sangha,Baneswar Basumatary,president of Kokrajhar district Bodo sahitya sabha were prominent attendees on the occasion.
