Woman body floating on Kopili

Sensation prevailed at Kawoimari, Barchunghat in Kampur  following recovery of a woman's body on Wednesday afternoon in the Kapili river. The body was discovered by some local people who noticed the body floating in the river. They immdiately called the police.  The body is sent for autopsy. The woman was aged around 50 years.

Meanwhile, local people of Kawoimari suspected the incident as a case of murder after rape. "She was raped by miscreants before she was killed. Several injury marks were also visible on her body", a local said.

Police have started their investigation.
