Fake encounter hearing on June 8

The Chirang sub-divisional magistrate Jayanta Sarkar, who is in charge of enquiry into an alleged fake encounter on March 30, 2017 at Simlaguri area in Chirang district.  Lukash Narzary @ N. Lanfa and Eyob Islary @ David @ Dayub of village No. 2 Aiedhubri were killed in "exchange of fire" between militants and security forces.

The enquiry commission  has called upon the interested individuals, general public, social organisations, eye witnesses and family members of the slain militants to cooperate with him in finding out the actual facts of the incidence. In this connection, they have been asked to appear before him for hearing and submit their reports, papers and evidences relating to the incidence at his office chamber in Chirang DC office at Kajalgaon at 11AM on June 8 next.

An officer of CRPF had reported this encounter as 'fake encounter' by multiple security forces.
