Indian Air Force jawans are fanning in a huge area covering Assam and Arunachal Pradesh in search of the Sukhoi jet fighter which has been remaining traceless for the last 24 hours.
Apart from AIF, army chopper been deployed in the search operation where the rescuers have been concentrating on Dubia area in Biswanath bordering West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh where the fighter jet with two pilots is believed to have crash landed.
According to the sources, the incident might have taken place at an inaccessable hilly terrain where the weather was inclement on Tuesday.
The fighter jet took off on a routine sortie at 10.30 from Salonibari airport which lost contact from 11.10 in the morning from Dubia area near Gohpur.
