Hira Mohan Borthakur, the retired principal of thr Kanpur Higher Secondary & Multi Purpose School died after prolonged illness on Sunday. . He was 76 and the end came at Jagiroad be route to the Gauhati Medical College Hospital early in the morning Amid a pall of gloom, many local organizations and individuals deeply condoled his death and conveyed their sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Prominent Sikh leader and Delhi MLA Manjinder Sirsa expressed grave concern over the socio economic condition of the community in Assam.
