Waiting for Maj Rati Keteki

The film goers of Assam will have the opportunity to enjoy award winning Assamese movie ‘Maj Rati Keteki’ in cinema halls soon. The director of the movie Dr Santwana Bardoloi informed that her second venture will be commercially released on 27 October across Assam.

Produced by Dr Bardoloi under the banner of Udara Films, the movie has cinematography by Gnana Shekar VS and music by Anurag Saikia. The script of the film was prepared by the director herself, where Ms Ushma Bardoloi worked as the editor and associate director. Already screened with rave reviews in the international film festivals of Kerala and Bangalore, ‘Maj Rati Keteki’ has also received invitations from various other festivals.

Adjudged as the best Assamese feature film at 64th National Film Awards 2016, the 116 minutes movie has its lead role played by acclaimed actor Adil Hussain, where he was also honoured by the national award with jury’s special mention. Other casts include Kulada Kumar Bhattacharya, Shakil Imtiaz, Mahendra Rabha, Sulakshana Baruahn, Mala Goswami etc.
