Poacher arrested at Rowta

A day after two poachers were knocked down by forest personals at Orang National Park of Darrang district . In a joint operation of Udalguri and Darrang Police in Bhalukmari area under Rowta PS of Udalguri raided the house of Sanjit Basumatari(47) which led to the recovery of one .303 rifle ,one short barell rifle, one magazine,four cartridges,two arrow bullets,one deer horn,two gun silencers,one axe and a dao was recovered from a Tata Safari vehicle bearing registration no. AS01 BG3748. Meanwhile poloce has apprehended one Sirangsa Basumatari in this connection and a case has been registered against him at Rowta PS under appropriate sections of IPC and further investigation is on police sources said.
