A lower court in Dhemaji sent Soobodh Biswas to fourteen days judicial custody after the alleged master mind behind the Silapothar clash was produced before it on Monday.
Two of his associates who were brought to Assam from West Bengal on transit remand were sent to police custody for interrogation. The duo were picked up a couple of days back to be interrogated.
Biswas’ term for police remand ended and the investigators did not seek his remand before the court which then sent him to jail.
