Kidnapped trader rescued

Aynal Haque, a trader of Tulsijhar under Amguri PS of Chirang district was rescued from Nayahat of Dhubri district on Friday morning. According to police, Haque was kidnapped by miscreants on February 17 from Amguri area in Chirang district. Chirang police in association with Dhubri police rescued Haque from Nayahat of Dhubri district. Police arrested six persons, who are involved with kidnapped from different area of Chirang and Barpeta district. They are identified as Haran Ali, his wives Jahanara Kathun, Sajida Begum, Sahidul Islam, Matiur Rahman and Hafijur Rahman. Interrogation is on.

Indonesia bags first spot in paragliding championship

KOKRAJHAR: Indonesian paragliders have won first prizes in the first-ever Bodoland international Paragliding accuracy championship-2019. The event concluded on Thursday after four day programme at Dangdupur Hill in Kokrajhar district. 68 participants from 11 countries participated in the championship and displayed their paragliding skills. 22 foreign paragliders participanted in the event. Nine countries participate in paragliding championship

KOKRAJHAR: The first-ever Bodoland International accuracy Paragliding championship-2019 began from Monday at Dangdupur Hill, Kokrajhar district. 68 participants, including nine countries, are participating the championship. There are 22 foreign paragliders including four women in the international championship  are from China (5), Indonesia (6), Nepal (4), Korea (5), Japan (1) and Taiwan (1). Community fishing at Samoka River in Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar: A sea of humanity is seeing along the Samoka Irrigation sluice gate River bank to participate in the community fishing near Bishmuri in Kokrajhar district on Thursday. The community fishing saw like festivity since early morning. KOKRAJHAR: Tarang Swrang Club, Taranguri defeated Kokrajhar Veteran Sports Club (KVSC) 2-0 in the final match of 7th edition Jatin Islary memorial running shield football tournament-2019 held on Sunday at Kokrajhar.
