An anti corruption unit of Assam police grilled Gautom Roy on Monday in connection with the Rs 2000 crore scam in the social welfare department during the erstwhile Tarun Gogoi government.
As directed, the former social welfare minister reached the anti corruption and vigilance cell office in Rupnagar at 10 in the morning to be grilled by a team of officers for a couple of hours.
Roy was summoned a week after the team grilled Akon Bora, who was social welfare minister when the multi crore scam took place.
