Budget session begins tomorrow

Assam assembly will begin its budget session on Monday which is expected to be a stormy one in view of the Opposition’s plan to corner the BJP-led government. Assam governor Banwarilal Purhit will open the session with his address at nine in the morning. Finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will table the annual budget next week. The opposition Congress, AIUDF are preparing to put the government in a fix alleging the move to open the floodgate of Hindu immigrants for citizenship.
