Magh Bihu Celebrated Chennai

Assam Association Chennai celebrated Magh Bihu in Blue lagoon beach resort on 15th January 2017. More than 100 assamese people residing in chennai joined the evnt organised by Assam Association Chennai.The event started with ethnic food competition which include laaru, pitha and various other food made by assamese people staying in Chennai. After the food competition Sira-Doi jolpan was served among the crowed. Various game including rosi tone, Kolh bhonga, Music chair was one of the most enjoyable part of the event. There was also an quiz competition (Late Rupam Hazarika Memorial trophy) among the crowed based on history, politics & culture of Assam. Also the association has facilitated assamese senior citizens residing in Chennai. Before dinner, there was also an interesting cultural evening which include from Prarthona to moden song, Bihu dance etc.

Finally the event was completed by the delicious dinner . The venue which situated just side of Bay of bangle made the event enjoyable and also memorable.
