The Chirang district administration has started campaign to impart training for cashless transactions and creating awareness among the citizens holding meetings and visiting markets at different locations in the district. Two training programmes have been organised involving its officials,included COs, BDOs, VCDC Chairmen, members and 27 CSCs' operators to enable them to be resource persons for generating awareness at their areas with the master trainers coming from the State Government. Similar training cum awareness programme had also been organised here today in the conference hall of the DC office under the presidenship of Chirang DC Binod Kumar Deka.
"The government is focusing and encouraging cashless transaction in every commercial activities of our day to day life. Therefore, we have also undertaken constant campaign to make the people aware on the subject," Deka said it while addressing the gathering. He also requested the officers to seek help of banks and management experts for any issues regarding digital transactions. In the training, the expert trainer from Common Service Centre (CSC) Nayanjyati Ray explained about various free wallet apps like paytm, sbi buddy, upi, e-wallet, USSD etc, how to register in these apps and their use in adding money, transfering money from one another, paying electricity and mobile bills, recharging DTH services, booking railway and air tickets including use of cards viz. debit cards, credit cards, prepaid cards, swipe machine, internet banking, mobile banking etc. Among others, ADC Diganta Baisya, COs, EOs, ACs, District Heads of different departments, bank officials, media persons, heads of social organisations, officials from e- district were present in the meeting.
