Free Medical and Veterinary civic action programs organized at Dadgiri with the help of medical officer and veterinary doctor of 15 Bn SSB and sector head quarters Bongaigaon on 20/12/16. More than 450 patients and farmers of nearby villages such as Dadgiri, khagrabari, sonapur, Aiepolly, Hatisar, Embark, phulbari , etc got the free medicines and benefited. During the inauguration A.K.C.Singh commandant addressed the poor border villagers to remained healthy in both physical and mental. Thereafter distributed volley balls and nets to the 6 clubs of the surrounding villages and appealed the youth to keep sports as physically and economically sound. KOKRAJHAR, DEC 23: In a significant anti-poaching operation, a joint team of police and forest officials apprehended three poachers from 1 No. Donga village near the India-Bhutan border in Tamulpur district on Sunday. The team also seized two handmade rifles and an elephant tusk during the raids.
Acting on a tip-off, the team first raided the residence of Chingarai Hasda (60) in 1 No. Donga village, where they recovered a handmade rifle. Upon interrogation, Chingarai disclosed that an elephant tusk was concealed in the house of Sanu Hembrom (60), another resident of the same village.
Following this lead, the team raided Sanu Hembrom’s house and successfully recovered the tusk. Further...
