Governor Purohit to visit Udalguri

Assam Governor Banwarilal Purohit would make his maiden visit to Udalguri on December 20. A special meet to this effect was held at Udalguri DC office on Saturday where Sadhana Hojai DC, representatives of student bodies,senior citizens and media persons discussed on the security scenario. As per programme schedule Governor Purohit will arrive on the evening of December 20 and lodge at Guest House .

The next day Purohit will take part in cleanliness drive followed by meeting with district administration officials,the Governor is also likely to interact with MLA's ,educationists,members of student organisations,members of NGO's among others. Purohit will leave for Raj Bhawan on December 21.

Meanwhile security has been beefed up throughout the district.During the governor's stay a three tier security blanket would be deployed as informed by administartion sources.
