Maha Rally seeking Bodoland in Parliament Street

The All Bodo Students Union (ABSU), National Democratic Front of Boroland (P) and Peoples Joint Action Committee for Boroland Movement (PJACBM) carried out a Maha Rally in New Delhi on Tuesday with traditional community attire, beginning from Rajghat to Jantar Mantar via Parliament Street on demand of Bodoland and political right to the Bodos living outside the proposed Bodoland area.

Thousands of student activists and supporters from different organizations joined hands with banner, placards in the Maha Rally and shouted slogans demanding early creation and solving of long standing pending demand of separate Bodoland issue through political dialogue.

An information letter was submitted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi through the Maha Rally seeking early solving of Bodoland issue along with ensuring political right to the Bodos living outside the proposed Bodoland area protect, preserve and safeguard the identity of the Boro and other tribal people with language, culture and tradition by creating Bodoland state.
