Hagrama stresses on peace and integration

BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary has emphasized of peace and integration among all sections of communities which is the key way to gain development and unity in BTAD region through which prosperity would be restored. BPF party organised a guardians meet in district level to discuss on development work and implementations on Thursday at Bodofa Cultural Complex in Kokrajhar district.

Mohilary,who is also president BPF party made an interaction and shared views with peoples said that prosperity and unity is the main agenda of organizing guardians meet in the region where irrespective of citizens, organizations are invited to participate. He said that his party was working for the all round development in the region and has been stressing to build a integrated as well peaceful society among all sections of communities in the region.Besides implementation of development work and projects mentioned in the election manifesto,Mohilary said that BTC administration is working towards welfare and social uplift of society so that region could be gained in speedy manner.

He said BPF wants peaceful solutions of ceasefire groups of militant outfit in the region ,who are ceasefire with government. He said that his party is channelizing to meet fruitful results in the region through peace talks. He also expresses his hopeful that NDFB (S) militant outfit will come forward to the main stream to end gun culture. He said that gun culture should be given-up in the region so that peace and development could be restored. He said that NDFB-S and militant outfits would be given equal status if they come to the main stream.

Mohilary also lauded the demonetization initiative from government of India said that it is a good way to maintain healthy financial transaction in the country.

The guardians meet was chaired by Derhasat Basumatary,former BTC executive member and president of Kokrajhar district unit BPF. Over thousand gaonburah,senior citizens,villagers from different parts of Kokrajhar district attended and put questions about developmental schemes and its implementations taken from BTC administration in the district.

Rabiram Narzary,MLA Kokrajhar west,Rajib Brahma,Doneswar Goyary,BTC executive members were prominent attendees in the meeting.

Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) team won the trophy defeating Lai Autonomous Council (LADC) of Mizoram 1-0 in the final match of inter sixth schedule premier league -2022 being held at SAI SAG center,Kathalguri Titaguri in Kokrajhar district. Professor Indira Boro, head of the department of Bodo for Bodoland University, has been named for an award from the Sahitya Akademy for translation in Bodo language. Dr. Boro has been named for the translation of her book Hirimba (originally written in Assamese by Jayanti Gogoi) Presently, Boro is the head of the department of Bodo at Bodoland University. Amid a strict security vigil, arrested Gujrat Congress MLA Jignesh Mevani was brought to Kokrajhar police station and later produced before the chief judicial magistrate (CJM) court.
