NDFB link man arrested

Security forces belonging to police and army apprehended a linkman of NDFB (S) from Dhanpur area under Kachugaon PS in Kokrajhar district early this morning. Based on information about moving activity of link man,security forces conducted a search operation in the area and a link man of the NDFB(S) was arrested. He was identified as Khanda Basumatary(Bestw),was involved with numerous extortion, money collection in the area. A country made riffle and live bullet was recovered from him.

KOKRAHAR: A sense of alarm has gripped the Jharbari area after a timber smuggler was discovered dead in a firing incident during the early hours of the morning in Kokrajhar. Footballer Apurna Narzary to receive Emerging Player award in Bodoland Territorial Region

Apurna Narzary, an international women's football player, has been nominated for the Emerging Player award for 2022-23 by the Sports & Youth Welfare department of the government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). Narzary has represented India in several international events and is the daughter of Biswajit Narzary of Khagrabari village in Kokrajhar district. The award will be presented to her during the Baokhungri festival celebration at Baokhungri Hill site near Harinaguri in Kokrajhar. On Friday, the government of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) observed the third BTR Peace Accord Day as "Day of Peace" on Friday.  A massive bike peace rally was held in Kokrajhar, the "City of Peace."
