Boithlangso holding by polls

The stage is set in Boithlangso assembly seat for holding by polls where 1,80,203 electorates are deciding the fate of three candidates on Saturday.

With heavy presence of security forces all arrangements are being made to hold the polling at 246 booths from 7 in the morning.

The polling officials have already reached the booths where the polling will take place till 5 in the afternoon. The main contest confines to Congress and BJP. But Independent candidate Raju Rongpi is no less popular who is expected to make big dents in BJP and Congress pockets. Mansing Rongpi is BJP candidate who won the seat with Congress ticket in the last assembly polls. Rongpi locks horns with Rupamsing Ronghung whom Congress allowed to contest the by polls.

The poll panel is holding the by polls since Congress MLA Mansing Rongpi left the party and joined BJP.
