Former Assam Governor (Red Lt Gen) SK Sinha passed at a hospital in New Delhi on Thursday. The end came at the Tata Referral Hospital at 1 in the afternoon where he was undergoing treatment for a couple of weeks. Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal condoled Sinha’s death. In a statement, he said that the state has lost a true friend. Sonowal said that Sinha always stood by the people of Assam even after his departure from the state. He was Governor of Assam from 1997 to 2003.
