Thunlai San observed

The Bodo Thunlai Afad (Bodo Sahitya Sabha) observed it's 64th foundation day with various colorful programme scheduled on Wednesday Bodo dominated areas across the state as well as nation.

Banargaon Primary Bodo Thunlai Afad observed the day as Thunlai San at Banargaon with day long programme scheduled in Kokrajhar district. Bodoland University Bodo Students Literary Society observed the day at university at Debargaon in Kokrajhar.

Barama Primary Bodo Sahitya Sabha observed the Thunlai San at Murmela LP School in Baksa district.

Dipen Boro, vice president of ABSU, Prof. Adaram Basumatary, Janata College, Serfanguri, Montumoni Ramchiary, noted writer were prominent attendees on the occasion.

The Thunlai San was also observed in different districts of the state and states, which included New Delhi, Kolkata, NJP, Shillong and Japha district of Nepal country.

Mentioned be made that Bodo Thunlai Afad was founded on November 16 in 1952 at Goybari, Basugaon in Chirang district. Jaybadhra Hagjer and Sonaram Thaosen were founder president and secretary of the sabha respectively.

Baksa: A brisk polling is underway in Kokrajhar and Chirang districts of BTR in the final phase of BTC polls on Thursday. Amid tight security and COVID19 protocol, the voters in Chirang district are waiting in long queue in front of the polling booths from 7 in the morning. KOKRAJHAR: Amidst the ongoing Governor's Rule in Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), 29 employees of Transport department have been terminated on Friday(7th August, 2020) from their jobs by BTC Secretariat who were allegedly illegally appointed without any interview or examinations during the BPF ruled BTC administration in the council.
