Police on Wednesday arrested APSC member Assam Samedur Rahman on corruption charges.
The special investigation team set up to probe the allegations of corruption caught Rahman from Rangia early in the morning a week after they arrested chairman Rakesh Paul.
Then the APSC member who was believed to have been hiding in Baksa district was brought in Guwahati where he is being interrogated at the 4th Assam Police Battalion (APBN) in Kahilipara.
Rahman was caught acting on the statements of his personal security officer Mabud Ali Choudhury.
The entire case came to light when police took up a complaint filed by a dental surgeon revealing that he had promised to give her a job through the APSC for a bribe of Rs 10 lakh.
