Kamaliddin pushed back to B’desh; 10 more arested

The recently detected illegal Bangladeshi national Kammaluddin has been deported to his country on Monday. This was followed by the arrest of ten more illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators on Tuesday at Doboka in Nagaon distirct.

According to information, before pushing Kammaludding back to Bangladesh, he was rushed to the Border Security Force personnels at Mahisashan checkgate along the Indo-Bangladesh border on Sunday. His Bangladeshi identity was confirmed by the Guwahati High Court recently and a bench of Justice Biplab Sarma ordered his arrest to be pushed back to Bangladesh. The court further talked tough with the government for its inability to detect and deport the illegal Bangladeshis who have sneaked in the state from across the border.

In yet another development several organisation including AASU and AJYCP have demanded immediate arrest of Assam Minority Students Union leader Abdul Aziz for his alleged unfair remark on the recent high court judgment. The student body leaders and some lawyers have said Aziz have committed a criminal offence by passing an unfair remark on the judgement. Notably, Aziz said on Sunday that the High Court has passed an order which sounds line a political one. He further termed the judgement a politically motivated.

In Jorhat polcie arrested 7 suspected Bangladeshis.

Menawhile, AASU activists have apprehended some 45 suspected Bangladeshi people in Sorbhog areas in Barpeta distirct of lower Assam on Tuesday.

Forty people have been injured while a Dergaon-Jorhat bus fell into a deep gorge before it reached the destination. According to information, the incident that left ten people seriously injured took place at around 10-45 in the morning near the Jorhat Coca Cola factory when the driver lost the control after developing a technical snag. A surrendered ULFA cadre has made a startling revelation on Tuesday that ULFA utilizes its newly recruited fellows in the strikes against Hindi speaking people along with army and police. A failure government on the law and order front in Assam has been behind the BLT-NDFB clashes in the Bodo dominated areas in the state. This is alleged by Assam BJP unit spokesman Charan Deka. Addressing a pres conference in the city on Monday Mr Deka alleged that the Government has been failing to control the deteriorating the state’s law and order scenario. Police detained several workers of the state animal husbandry and veterinary department at the dharna site on Monday while they were holding protest in front of the directorate office demanding government steps to regularize their jobs. A Kamrup district session court on Monday sentenced life imprisonment for four CRPF jawans chargesheeted by CBI in the Imphal firing case where nine people were killed in 1995. One hardcore ULFA cadre died at an encounter with Army in Dibrugarh district's Kakopathar area on Monday.
