In her address at a function in Delhi University, she said that if voted to power she would spare no pain to restore peace to the north eastern region where the draconian Act like the Arms Forces Special Powers Act would have no place. “I broke my fast to politically fight for the people. Peace would come only through political initiatives,” said Sharmila. “I hope people would be support me in my mission of peace,” said the rights crusader. She made it plain and simple that she would not join the Aam Admi Party. “I would neight join AAP and nor have a plan to float a new party,” said Sharmila adding “I came here to Delhi and called on Arvind Kejriwal only at his invitation.”
