3 Star Nepal win Bordoloi Trophy

3 Star Club Nepal  beat East Bengal Club  Kolkata by 2-1 in the final match of the 64th Bharat Ratna Gopinath Bordoloi Trophy Football Tournament.

The first goal of the game was scored by East Bengal's Adeleja in the 83rd minute. 3 Star's Devendra Tamang scored the their first goal at the extra time (94th minute). While the decisive goal for the Nepali Club was scored by Bimal Ghatri Magor in the 99th minute.

IED planted in Kakopothat police station

Yet another IED was found at Goreswar Gasbari area on Thursday morning. The IED was planted by suspected anti-talk faction group of National Democratic Front of Bodoland  near a culvert of Baihata-Goreswar road. Investigation is gong on. ULFA and NDFB are among ten outfits who have called a general strike on Jan 26 and urged people to boycott the Republic Day celebrations.

Model hospital inagurated at Bhergaon

Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) EM Ganesh Kachari today inaugurated a model hospital at Bhergaon of Udalguri district .Talking to mediapersons, Kachari said that the BTC has not got their share of fund of Rs 12.19 per cent from State Government till now.

“Due to this the BTC administration had to undergo hardships ,” he said. He said that BTC chief Hagrama Mahilary has emphasized on all round development of the BTAD region without taking any help from the state government.

Addressing the opening meeting, EM Kachari said that he would try to appoint adequate numbers of doctors and other staffs for the hospital as soon as possible. BTC EM Jagadish Sarkar, BTC Deputy Speaker Nersan Boro and Panery LAC MLA Kamli Rani Basumatari were also present in the inaugural ceremony.

Gogoi confident of landslide victory

Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi pins hope on the Congress victory in all Lok Sabha seats in the state.

Addressing the political convention of the party at the Sarusajai Indoor Stadium on Sunday, Gogoi said the AGP regime is nothing but a blot in the history of Assam.

In yet another development AGP and BJP categorically slammed Congress for its comment on AGP-BJP poll pact a day after Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma and Pradyut Bordoloi termed it a surrender of AGP before BJP. In two separate press conferences in Guwahti on Sunday, both the party said the ruling party is scared of losing their ground in the state. AGP spokesman Atul Bora and BJP spokesman Charan Deka further said the ruling party is also surrendering before BPF, a regional party only to form the government.
