The Kamrup Metro District Level of National Children’s Science Congress (NCSC) 2016 is held today the 18th September 2016 Sunday at the premises of New Guwahati  Adarsha High School, Guwahati-21.

District NCSC flag and Flag of Host School were hoisted by Prof (Dr.) Ranjita Deka, Vice- President of Kamrup Metro NCSC 2016 Organising Committee and  Nidhan Chandra Barman, Headmaster New Guwahati  Adarsha High School respectively.

NCSC Theme song is presented by a group of students of the host School.

Wel-come speech delivered by Nidhan Chandra Barman, Headmaster of New Guwahati  Adarsha High School . The event is inaugurated by Dr. Barindra Kumar Sarma, Prof of Physics (Retd.), Gauhati University.

A wall Magazine and a Hand written magazine were released by Prabal Kumar Sarma, Programme Executive of All India Radio, Guwahati and Pankaj Dutta, Science Teacher of Axom Jatiya Vidyalaya, Noonmati.

An attractive programme is conducted by Regional Science Centre, Guwahati in association with Indian Association of Physics Teachers, Regional Council-17 which is enjoyed by general students.

The main activity of District level Children’s Science Congress is Technical Sessions. This time in two parallel sessions were organized in which 34 Groups of Child Scientists from 16 schools of Kamrup (Metro) District presented their Science Project Reports.

Out of these reports, 10 will be selected for the State Level event to be held in Dibrugarh in the next month.
