Six arrested in Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar police apprehended six fake NDFB from different places, who were involved with anti-social activities by using fake writing pad of NDFB militant outfits since few months in the district.

Police conducted search operation against fake NDFB after getting complaint from Firdosh Huusain of Bodheaguri village under Kokrajhar PS, a teacher that arrested fake NDFB demanded six lakhs of money for the organization on September 1 last.

Police also could find out detail that arrested were involved with money demands from citizen and government employees in the region. Police arrested them late last night and early this morning from different places as alerts has been kept on them. They were identified as Aminur Islam(26),Baharul Islam(28),Amsar Ali(29),Sahidul sheik(21),Tofique Alom(21) and Sahajahan Ali(24).

An FIR has been lodged with Kokrajhar PS, with registered no.-505/16, under section (u/s) 387 IPC, R/W.s 25(1-A)/27 Arms Act.Police has been investigating into arrested situation along the area.They demanded mone using NDFB writing pad.

“We arrested them from different places in the area after received a complain about fake NDFB members demanded money from a teacher. Investigation is on into situation”,said a senior police officer.
