Girijananda Chowdhury Group of Institutes, Guwahati celebrated their 7th Graduation Ceremony on 7th September, 2016, on the occasion of the 10th Foundation Day of the institutes. The Graduation Ceremony is celebrated every year to acknowledge the success of their recent graduates, this year marking the passing out of the7th batch of B.E. and MBA, 6th batch of B. Pharm., 5th batch of MCA and 4th batch of M. Pharm and 3rd batch of M.Tech.
The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Pradyut Kumar Goswami, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Assam Science and Technology University, as the Chief Guest and Mr. Alok Verma, Business Head, Vodafone Assam and North East, as the Guest of Honour. The event started off with lighting of the inaugural lamp by the members of the institute along with the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour. The dignitaries then shared their enlightening views with the new batch of graduates, motivating and inspiring them to face the challenges of everyday life.
Certificates were awarded to all the successful graduates. The toppers of all departments were also awarded with cash prizes.
On the day the institute also gave away prizes to the winners of the State Level Essay Competition for school students organized by GIMT, Guwahati in March, 2016. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from the faculty of the institute.
