The Discovery club, Kokrajhar observed its 18th foundation day at Chakrashila village Playground near Dhirbil on Wednesday with various day long programme among the local villagers.
BTC executive member Doneswar Goyary inaugurated the programme.
As part of the celebration, a plantation programme was carried out which was inaugurated by journalist Preetam Brahma Choudhury along the Dhirbil.
Various games and sports among the children were held.
A committee was also formed for implementing different livelihood promotion activities covering ten villages in Chakrashila area.
These 10 villages will be promoted by the NGOs by carrying out different livelihood promotion activities for sustainable livelihood.
The NGO also handed Rs 5000 to Manthan Basumatary of Kokrajhar Tengapara who secured admission Dibrugarh medical college.
Among others Pritiraj Brahma, senior manger, SBI, Bilisipara branch, president Discovery club Mrinal Kanti Mushahary were present in the programme.
