Speaker Ranjit Kumar Das visited Kokrajhar to attend fresher’s social day function at Science College on Tuesday in Kokrajhar after assume as Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly.
Das inaugurated Serja wall magazine and Bachelor of Physiotherapy course in the college. Das, was accompanied by MLA Emanuel Moshahary, attended the function as chief guest, and was organized by Students Union of Science College and College authority.
Das expressed serious concern over price hikes of essential commodities in the state. He said that prices of the commodities were hike by some brokerage to gain more benefits in the state. The price hikes would be checked by government because government has been initiating to bring down of prices in the state. He said that government could not give proper development in its 100 days of government in the state.
‘Give more time to bring developmental spirit, 100 days is not sufficient time to fulfill hopes and aspirations of the citizens’, Das said adding that more time should give to the government so that development as well social uplift is changed through good governance in the state.
MLA Emanuel Moshahary, BTC executive member Doneswar Goyary, Rabisangkhar Borgoyary, BTC education director were prominent attendees on the function with RN Sinha, principal of the college in the chair.
RN Sinha, principal of the college told that the college inaugurated Bachelor of Physiotherapy course for the students beginning this session to make students in healthy career building.
