International Youth Day celebrated

The People's Action for Development (PAD) and Parivartan, two reputed NGOs of Gogamukh celebrated the International Youth Day at Gogamukh Girls' Jr college auditorium on Saturday. In the first half of the day-long programme career counsellor Ranjan K Baruah interacted with the college students participated from various colleges of the locality. Several youth leaders from Dhemaji, Lakhimpur and Tinsukia districts also participated and discussed the role of youths in the society. Participating on the occasion Dhemaji Superintendent of Police Swapnaneel Deka inaugurated the "Click"  a souvenir of Parivartan and told about the significance of the Day and also told about the role of youths in nation building. He urged the youths to concentrate on studies to be good citizens in the future. Keshoba Krishna Chatradhara of Parivartan told this EC that they have been organising the day for last few years and next year this would be organised at Tinsukia district.
