Blood donation by OBASSG

Old Boys Association of Sainik School Goalpara (OBA SSG) in association with Dr B Barooah Cancer Institute is going to organise a blood donation camp on the occasion of Independence Day on 15th August at the cancer hospital premises. OBA SSG has been organizing blood donation camp on the occasion of Independence Day for last 12 years in different parts of the state and country. OBA SSG has been applauded by many as it has been organizing voluntary blood donation camp in the cancer hospital. Apart from the members of OBA SSG, other individuals are also requested to donate blood for the cancer patient. In a press statement Amar Kakati, GS of OBA SSG has appealed all the members of OBA SSG and others to donate blood on the occasion. OBASSG is a registered society and it conducts various social welfare programmes including free health check up camps in different parts of the state for the needy and the poor people.

Magsaysay Award winner and activist Arvind Kejriwal will be attending a programme on Right to Information organized by Krishak Mukti Sangram Sammitee (KMSS) at the Sudmarson Hall (Cotton College) on 3rd January. Society for Improved Health and Integrated Livelihood (SIHIL), an organization mainly comprised of young doctors organized a free health check up camp as a part of their health awareness programme at Udayna Nagar Community Field in the Dakhingaon area of Kahilipara.
