AJYCP opposes CBSE migration move
The Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) has strongly opposed the Government’s move to allow 50 state-run schools to migrate to CBSE alleging it a move to privatise the secondary education. The organization further has asked the government not to proceed with this controversial move.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, AJYCP president Biraj Kumar Talukdar said, “We are dead opposed to the idea where the BJP-led government in Assam has been trying to keep the students away from our age old culture, tradition, ethos and environment.”
He said, “It is nothing but a move to privatise the secondary education where the market forces would matter.”
He further questioned the Government’s preparedness to uplift a section of private schools where some others promoting local language and culture have been left out.
