NIA to probe rhino poaching

The Assam government is contemplating to hand over the rhino poaching cases to NIA for investigation.
Replying to a question raised by Pabindra Kumar Deka on the floor of the House on Monday, forest minister Pramila Rani Brahma said that steps are on to hand over the cases to NIA for a thorough enquiry.

Notably, nearly two dozen rhinos were killed for horns in Kaziranga leaving the BJP-led government in Dispur embarrassed.
