Health camp by SSB


A medical civic action programme was conducted by SSB and civil Doctors at Dadgiri weekly market along Indo Bhutan border on Monday in Chirang district.

It was organised to provide medical aid to tge flood affected peoples inthee area and distributed medicines at free of costs. KS Shekhwat, officer of 16th Battalion of SSB graced and distributed the medicine among relief inmates. Relief camp inmates expresses theirappreciation for noble venture initiated from SSB.

Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) team won the trophy defeating Lai Autonomous Council (LADC) of Mizoram 1-0 in the final match of inter sixth schedule premier league -2022 being held at SAI SAG center,Kathalguri Titaguri in Kokrajhar district. Professor Indira Boro, head of the department of Bodo for Bodoland University, has been named for an award from the Sahitya Akademy for translation in Bodo language. Dr. Boro has been named for the translation of her book Hirimba (originally written in Assamese by Jayanti Gogoi) Presently, Boro is the head of the department of Bodo at Bodoland University. She has authored many books in Bodo language and contributed a lot to the uplift and development of Bodo literature. Amid a strict security vigil, arrested Gujrat Congress MLA Jignesh Mevani was brought to Kokrajhar police station and later produced before the chief judicial magistrate (CJM) court. Mevani was sent into police custody for three days. Mevani was arrested late last night in Gujarat by Assam Police after BJP leader Arup Kumar Dey filed an FIR with Kokrajhar police station.
