AKRSU resolves to intensified mass agitation

The All Koch Rajbongsi Students Union (AKRSU) has resolved to intensified vigorous mass movement with slogan of ‘Do or Die’ to seeking Scheduled Tribe (ST) status and reconstruction of Kamatapur separate state within Indian constitution.

The students union observed its 26th foundation day with two-day long programme scheduled at Kalipukhuri ground in Kokrajhar district on Friday and Saturday.In the observation,students union resolved to intensified vigorous mass movement alleging that state and centre government have been tactically delayed the issues of ST status granting and reconstruction of Kamatapur state in the region.

The students union termed BJP led state government is misolia government because BJP party has failed to fulfill promises and commitment, which had promised during election times.

Hiteswar Barman,president of AKRSU announce his betrayal on government said that the students union will now decides to go strong mass movement for the issues ST status to the Koch Rajbongsi community,Kamatapur issues which have been politically delayed by govt.

‘We have lost patience of govt,so we have decided to go mass agitation on the issues within short period of days with slogan of ‘Do or Die’ for demands of the community issues’,said Barman.

“BJP led state govt has tactically delayed issue ST granting,Kamatapur state in the region.Students union resolves to go mass movement with slogans of Do or Die for community issues within short period of days,no compromise with ST status,Kamatapur state”,Barman added.

An open session was also organized on the day with Hiteswar Barman,president of AKRSU in the chair.BJP MLA for Galakganj LAC Ashini Sarkar Roy graced as chief guest,former BTC executive member Derhasat Basumatary,leaders from AASAA,Motok Chatra Parishad were present on the occasion.

Kokrajhar, May 2:  A search operation that began yesterday evening concluded today with the recovery of three bodies from the Beki River near Manas National Park in Baksa district. The three youths, identified as Deep Saha, Raj Saha, and Abhijit Karmakar, all from Barpeta Road, reportedly went missing after entering the river for a swim on Wednesday evening.
