SLRM project launched

Kokrajhar Municipality Board(KMB) launched its Solid & Liquid Resources Management Project(SLRM) under Swachch Kokrajhar Mission to make green and clean Kokrajhar in the district on Saturday.

BTC executive member Doneswar Goyary launched the project in the presence of huge public and pfficials from BTC administration and district administration.

Goyary lauded the initiative taken from municipality board to accord green and clean Kokrajhar in the region.

‘It will create hygienic moment among citizens in the region because peoples should be neat and clean to maintain good living among society’,said Goyary.

Bishnu Narzary,chairman of KMB told that the municipality board was trying to create hygienic situation in the board area so that citizens be meet healthy living. This mission will be huglighted the necessary measurement while making green and clean situation in the region,Narzary added.

KOKRAJHAR: The nationwide lockdown has evoked full response in four districts of Bodoland Territorial Areas to fight against the COVID-19 outbreak across the country. 487 at 6 Kokrajhar quarantine centres

KOKRAJHAR: Around 487 persons are being kept in the six quarantine centres set up in Kokrajhar district under strict observation with proper medical check up. The centres have been set up by district administration to check those persons who are coming from neighbouring states towards Assam in the wake of COVID-19 outbreak. Four of the six quarantine centres were set up at Srirampur itself along the inter state border with West Bengal,one each at Fakiragram and  Kokrajhar to stop the spread of the Coronavirus in the district.

NDFB cadres lay down arms

More than sixteen hundred NDFB cadres today formally laid down arms. In a ceremony organised at GMCH auditorium in the presence of chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal 1615 cadres of the outfit submitted their arms before the government authority. Welcoming them to the mainstream chief minister Sonowal hoped that the Paresh Baruah-led ULFA(I) would follow the path of the NDFB.
