Sonowal visits lower Assam districts
Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal termed thar flood problem is a great problem for the state. Sonowal made his visit in a chartered Helicopter to the flood affected districts in lower Assam region including Dhubri, Chirang district.Sonowal landed at Gauripur Pratap Chandra HS relief camp in a Helicopter to take stock about flood affected inmates on Friday. Later, he also arrived at BGR Helipad in Chirang by noon where rushed at Nilibari flood affected villages by Aie River.
Sonowal said his government has been initiating stern measures to rescue flood affected situation in the
state. Several districts in the
state were affected severely due to flood
waters in the
state including BTAD region.He said the flood situation is a serious problem for the
state which have been creating resented in the
state. Government has seek sufficient fund for the
state from centre to meet flood situation, he said.
'Government and
state disaster management are working to the causes of floods with setting up several relief
camps in the affected districts. Food
as well medical facilities are being giving in proper manner fit the affected citizens with suitable measures', said Sonowal.
Sonowal also hold a meeting with BTAD authority and district administrations of lower Assam districts at BGR Dhaligaon in Chirang.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh, who is taking aerial visit for floods in the
state tomorrow. Mohilary said that BTAD administration was working for the flood affected areas which has been affected severely on large areas since few days due to incessant raining.
'BTAD administration will place a memorandum to centre for seeking sufficient thousand crores of fund to take measures for the flood affected areas', Mohilary said.
