ABSU burns effigy of Union Minister

The All Bodo Students Union(ABSU) protested and burnt effigy of Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs for his anti remarks on creation of separate state across the country on Wednesday. Hundreds of students union activists and common publics in Kokrajhar with placards join hands in the protest agitation and shouted slogans aaginst Union Minister Ahir along the main Road in Kokrajhar burnt effigy of Ahir demanding early creation of new small states, including Bodoland in the country, was organised by Kokrajhar district unit of ABSU.

Union Minister Ahir told in Parliament on Tuesday that no any decision was initiated from NDA government to create new states across the country so far.The students union slammed the union Minister for his anti-creation of new states in the country. The ABSU has warned for vigorous mass movement if demand of Bodoland separate state was not meet in eraliest manner in coming days. Nion Mushahary,ABSU leader slammed the remarks made by Union Minister Ahir termed that it was unfortunate remarks from Union Minister,whose party promised to solve long standing demnad of Bodoland separate state during 2014 Lok Sabha election. He has alleged that BJP party had been tcatically declining issue of Bodoland state creation.

“We condemning the unwanted remarks of Union Minister on small state creations,it was unfortunate for the region,whose party had promised to solve Bodoland issue during Parliamentary election in 2014,but today saffron party declined to take bold step”,Mushahary said. Mass movement for the cause of Bodoland separate state would be vigorous just after Independence Day if our demands are ot meet within August 15 next.Create small states across the council including Bodoland,other wise situation would be critical”,he added.
