BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary said his council has not been received satisfactory fund from government of India, which has facing hardship while maintaining in healthy administration.
Mohilary, talking reporters on the side lines of a programme on Friday in Kokrajhar said that BTC council is receiving only 425 crores from government, which was not satisfied for the region. The council was to get 12.19 percent as per population pattern, but this juncture council is getting only limited fund from governments, he said.
Assam government has been getting limited fund from government of India that is why we are getting limited fund. In previous years, as we got huge amounts, but all these utilities were not implemented properly. The council still has to receive over 1100 crores from state govt; I do hope this fund will be received immediately, Hagrama said.
He said alliance government in Dispur was working for the all round development of state since its formation, Mohilary said.adding that government has been emphasizing peoples’ welfare with top priority so that state can get good governance. The government of India has been decreased of funding pattern all over the state; along allocation funds flow to council was also becoming low on the basis of government’s feasibility.
‘BTC is getting limited fund from government,but it is not satisfied to lead the council. Funds allotted to the council are lesser than previous government in the state. We have yet to receive huge funds from state govt’, said Mohilary.
On the question of implementation of NRC, Mohilary said that the NRC update should be completed as soon as possible with good implementation in the state.
