Swachch Abhijan programme carried out

Anchor Intro: Hundreds of businessmen,government line department officials,police officer and local residents join hands in the cleanliness drive carried out by Dotma Bazar committee under Swachch Bharat Abhijan along the Dotma to make neat and clean on Thursday in Kokrajhar. The Swachch Bharat Abhijan initiative was carried out by Dotma Bazar committee in volving residents,beside government’s line department officials to make Dotma bazar dirty as well smell free area in the region.Nirjay Brahma,Dotma Block Development officer(BDO) kicked off to start swachch abhijan in the bazar.Hriday Ranjan Das,Dotma PHE officer,Rajni Kanta Rabha, officer in-charge,Dotma PS,Rajendra Nath Brahma,retired principal,Rabilachan Brahma,noted social worker,Pradip Kumar Brahma, former MLA and president of Dotma Bazar Committee were prominent attendees on the cleanliness drive on the day.

The Dotma bazar which has been seeing unhygenic with spread of dirty and unsuited smells since long years and today look like new face because peoples from all sections of society join hands in the swachch abhijan programme.

An awareness meeting was also held earlier of the swachch abhijan programme with Pradip Kumar Brahma,former MLA in the chair.

Nirjay Brahma,BDO appreciated the initiative to clean Dotma bazar by bazar committee involving local residents.The swachch abhijan mission was very must need among human society because neat and clean can bring healthy living and suited environment.

“We do appreciate the initiative taken from bazar committee to make swachch along the bazar complex.This abhijan will encourage citizens to keep neat and clean in the area”,said Brahma.

Rajni Kanta Rabha, police officer said that the human living need hygenic situation that is why swachch is higly required.

Brahma,former MLA told that the bazar committee was trying to bring awareness about swachch mission in the region as well country.Swachch abhijan creates good and healthy integration while bringing human life a suited environment.

“The bazar committee has been trying bring swachch situation in the region so that market going citizens can get healthy breathe and happy management in the bazar.Citizens were to face hardhsips with dirty and unisuited smells of garbages along the bazar.From today,bazar has been looking healthy clean situtaion due to swachch abhijan initiated by bazar committee”,Brahma added.

KOKRAJHAR: Police arrested five protesters in Kokrajhar on Wednesday who burnt effigies of chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019. Activists and members from All Assam Nath Yogi Students Union carried out a protest demonstration along the JD Road near District Computer centre in Kokrajhar against the CAB bill and burnt effigies of Sonowal and Sarma. KOKRAJHAR: The ruling partner in the state alliance government, the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) has said that the their party is going to participate in the ensuing 2020 BTC general elections. KOKRAJHAR: Noted social activist, former leader of All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) and close associate of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma Yamao Jwhwlao Brahma passed away on Wednesday night at a private hospital in Guwahati. KOKRAJHAR: An eight-member delegation of  a special review committee on detention center, led by chairman Debojit Mukherjee visited the detention center in Kokrajhar on Tuesday. The delegation members include Debojit Mukherjee, deputy inspector of police (Border) and chairman of the committee, district judge (retired) H Singh, IGP of Prisons Barnali Sharma, D Saikia, AIG of Prisons and several senior police officials.
